  As you may be aware, there have been several incidents involving radiation overexposure to patients receiving CT scans at several Los Angeles area hospitals. In addition, there have been recent reports in the medical literature about the cancer risk to the population from medical imaging, particularly CT.  These reports have led physicians and their patients to ask appropriate questions about CT utilization and its associated risks. SDI - Chula Vista earns New CT Accreditation

 We are pleased to announce that SDI has been awarded another three year term of accreditation as a result of a recent survey by the American College of Radiology.  Accreditation is only awarded to those facilities that meet or exceed the quality and safety standards of the American College of Radiology.  Patients and physicians are encouraged by the ACR to seek out facilities that have achieved this distinction.  This adds to the accreditation approvals already received by SDI.  These now include:
