Dr. Kortman joined San Diego Imaging Medical Group in 1987. He received his undergraduate degree from Point Loma College and his medical degree from the University of California, San Diego. Dr. Kortman completed his internship and residency in radiology at UCSD. He went on to complete fellowship training in neuroradiology at UCSD and an additional fellowship in MRI at Huntington Medical Research Institute in Pasadena, California. Dr. Kortman is a Board Certified radiologist and his subspecialties include neuroradiology, interventional radiology, and pain treatment. He is the head of San Diego Imaging’s Spine Center in Kearny Mesa, and is regularly invited to speak at major radiology meetings about his special expertise and extensive experience in the development of innovative methods of pain treatment.
