Dr. Nichols joined the physicians at San Diego Imaging Medical Group in 2004. Board Certified with the American Board of Radiology, his area of expertise is Interventional Radiology. He has a special interest in minimally invasive therapy of liver malignancies and endovenous laser ablation of varicose veins. Currently he provides professional services at Sharp Memorial Hospital and Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center. He completed his bachelor’s degree at the University of California, Irvine and then went on to earn his medical degree at the University of Virginia School of Medicine. Dr. Nichols’ postgraduate education and training included an internship with the University of Hawaii and diagnostic radiology residency training at the University of California, San Diego, where he served as chief resident. His interventional radiology fellowship was completed at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland.
