Michael L. Puckett, M.D.
Michael L. Puckett, M.D. Dr. Puckett, a Board Certified radiologist, joined San Diego Imaging Medical Group in 2003. He completed his undergraduate degree at California State University in Chico, California and his medical degree at the University of Kansas School of Medicine. Dr. Puckett completed both his residency training and a Body Imaging fellowship at the Naval Medical Center San Diego (NMCSD). Captain Puckett, USNR, recently completed 16 years of active duty service, where he most recently served as Program Director for the Radiology Residency and as Assistant Director of Ancillary Services at NMCSD. Dr. Puckett has been published in many medical journals and is a frequent invited speaker at medical conferences. He is widely known for his expertise in Virtual Colonoscopy and was one of the leading authors of the landmark Virtual Colonoscopy article in the New England Journal of Medicine. Dr. Puckett is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of California, San Diego and an Assistant Professor of Radiology/Nuclear Medicine for the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences.
