Barium Enema
Bowel cleansing preparation don 1 day prior to exam. Patient should pick up preparation at San Diego Imaging at least 2 days prior to examination.
Barium Swallow / Esophagram
Nothing to eat or drink 4 hours prior to exam.
Upper GI Series
Nothing to eat or drink 8 hours prior to examination. This includes all medications. If you are taking medications, please bring them with you to take after the exam is completed.
Small Bowel Series
Nothing to eat or drink 8 hours prior to examination.
Hysterosalpingogram
Light meal only prior to examination.
